No. It is planned as a list of businesses: agencies, brokerages, lenders and advisers as registered entities.
Florida industry export
The export covers financial and insurance businesses registered in Florida, defined by NAICS 2022 (52). For scale: 138,282 businesses in Florida per the U.S. Census Bureau, County Business Patterns 2023 + Nonemployer Statistics 2024: 36,230 with employees in 2023 and 102,052 without employees in 2024; that is official statistics. Our Florida database is active, but per-industry record counts are still being compiled. Say whether you need insurance agencies, mortgage brokers, advisers or lenders, and whether branches of national institutions should be left out.

Data as of October 15, 2026. Industry size: U.S. Census Bureau, County Business Patterns 2023 + Nonemployer Statistics 2024: businesses with paid employees (CBP 2023, establishments, NAICS 2017 codes 52) plus businesses without paid employees (NES 2024, NAICS 2022 codes 52); not our dataset. Statewide figure for all industries: Florida Department of State, Division of Corporations, Yearly Statistics, as of July 8, 2026; not our dataset. NAICS titles: 52 Finance and Insurance (U.S. Census Bureau).
The industry covers NAICS sector 52, Finance and Insurance: credit intermediation (banks, credit unions, mortgage lenders and brokers), securities and investment activities, insurance carriers, and insurance agencies, brokerages and related activities.
For a business list, the state corporate record is only the starting point in this sector. Whether a business actually holds the license its name suggests has to be checked with the responsible regulator. The planned export does not certify any license.
The sector is uneven in structure: an insurance agency or mortgage broker is typically a local business, while a bank, asset manager or insurance carrier may be registered at a headquarters outside the county, or outside the state, where it does business.
Our expectation, which is an assumption and not a finding from data: We expect independent agencies and brokers to publish an office phone number and a general email address. A branch of a bank or carrier may share a corporate website and a central number, in which case it has no contact details of its own. Per-industry contact counts are still being compiled; once measured, they will replace this note.
We are looking for independent insurance agencies and mortgage brokers in Orange, Seminole and Osceola counties with a website and a phone number, to offer them lead management software. Branches of national banks should not be included. Please state what you can deliver, the price and the as-of date of the data.
This is an example only, not a promise of a record count.
Official statistics
Keep in mind that County Business Patterns counts every branch as an establishment: a bank with 60 branches is 60 establishments but one registered business. Of the businesses without employees added from Nonemployer Statistics, more than half are insurance agencies and brokerages (NAICS 5242).
Miami-Dade (27,714), Broward (16,716), Palm Beach (14,951), Orange (9,022), Hillsborough (8,802). Figures for all 67 counties are in the table Florida businesses by county.
Sources: U.S. Census Bureau, County Business Patterns 2023; U.S. Census Bureau, Nonemployer Statistics 2024 (methodology). Each row adds establishments with paid employees (County Business Patterns 2023, NAICS 2017) and businesses without paid employees (Nonemployer Statistics 2024, NAICS 2022, which leaves out businesses with less than $1,000 in receipts except in construction). These are Census Bureau statistics, not counts from our dataset.
Insurance agents, agencies and adjusters must be licensed by the Department of Financial Services (Fla. Stat. § 626.112); an insurance agency license is issued only after a written application to the department (Fla. Stat. § 626.172). The department is headed by the Chief Financial Officer (Fla. Stat. § 20.121).
Mortgage brokers must be licensed under Chapter 494 (Fla. Stat. § 494.00321); the chapter is administered by the Office of Financial Regulation.
Dealers, associated persons and investment advisers may not do business in Florida unless registered with the office under Fla. Stat. § 517.12. Federal securities law applies in addition.
State-chartered financial institutions fall under the financial institutions codes, which give regulatory powers to the Financial Services Commission and the Office of Financial Regulation (Fla. Stat. § 655.001). National banks are chartered and supervised at the federal level.

FAQ
No. It is planned as a list of businesses: agencies, brokerages, lenders and advisers as registered entities.
No. License information from the financial regulators is not part of the planned 15 columns. Verify a license with the responsible regulator before you rely on it.
That is the plan: by NAICS code 524210 Insurance Agencies and Brokerages. Whether an agency is independent or tied to one carrier is not shown in the corporate record; where the agency's website makes it clear, it can be taken into account.
No. Accounting, tax preparation and payroll services are NAICS 5412 and belong to Professional and Business Services.
The size of the industry in Florida is 138,282 businesses in Florida per the U.S. Census Bureau, County Business Patterns 2023 + Nonemployer Statistics 2024: 36,230 with employees in 2023 and 102,052 without employees in 2024 (source); that is the official market scale, not a count of our delivered records. Our per-industry record count is still being compiled; contact us for the current count for Finance and Insurance. For orientation: Active business entities registered with the Florida Division of Corporations (corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and trusts) – 4,129,182 as of July 8, 2026 (Florida Department of State, Division of Corporations, Yearly Statistics). That figure covers all industries and counts registered entities whether or not they operate. The Census figures on this page give a sense of scale for Finance and Insurance.
Federal law does not require prior consent for commercial email to businesses, but every message must comply with the CAN-SPAM Act (FTC compliance guide); sales calls and texts are restricted more tightly by federal rules and by Fla. Stat. § 501.059. An export contains no consent. Our data is not screened against any do-not-call list, including the National Do Not Call Registry and the Florida Do Not Call list. How Fla. Stat. § 501.059(4) applies to business records that include phone numbers is a question for an attorney, and no Florida dataset with phone numbers will be released until that question is resolved. The compliance of a campaign is your responsibility. The rules are explained in Cold outreach rules in Florida; this is not legal advice.
From public sources: corporate filings of the Florida Division of Corporations (Sunbiz), the license and registration records named on this page and the companies' own websites (sources and methodology). The file is a UTF-8 CSV or, on request, XLSX or JSON; a sample with fictitious businesses shows the 15 columns.
