Data status: what we can deliver today

What flcontacts.com can deliver today, with a date and a source: the Florida database has 3,818,676 active entities as of October 15, 2026; data for other U.S. states and for countries of the European Union is compiled on request. The presence of a contact field does not mean a business can be reached.

Our database — own figures

Figures from our production database (firmoskop_us), as of October 15, 2026. Active entities only (Sunbiz status "Active"). Fictitious names (DBA trade names) are counted separately and are not included in the entity total. Email addresses shared by 3 or more entities (typically registered-agent or formation-service addresses) are excluded from the email count. Phone and website coverage is still growing via ongoing website crawling; the figures below reflect the state of the crawl on the as-of date.

For a sense of the size of the market: Active business entities registered with the Florida Division of Corporations (corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and trusts) – 4,129,182 as of July 8, 2026 (the “Last Update” date printed on the source page, which we read on October 11, 2026), of which 3,004,129 are limited liability companies (source: Florida Department of State, Division of Corporations, Yearly Statistics). The state updates these totals quarterly. This is the state’s own figure for registered entities, which are counted whether or not they have employees or operations; it is not a count from our dataset. For comparison, the U.S. Census Bureau counted 523,095 firms with paid employees in Florida for 2022 (U.S. Census Bureau, Statistics of U.S. Businesses (SUSB) 2022) and 645,575 establishments with paid employees for 2023 (U.S. Census Bureau, County Business Patterns 2023) as well as 3,427,341 businesses without paid employees for 2024 (U.S. Census Bureau, Nonemployer Statistics 2024); the breakdown is in the table Florida businesses by county.

Florida Business Database by industry. Until our own counts exist, the Businesses column shows the size of the industry in Florida per official statistics (marked with the source). The Codes column lists the codes summed: those of County Business Patterns (businesses with paid employees, NAICS 2017) and of Nonemployer Statistics (businesses without paid employees, NAICS 2022), or NAICS 2022 where there is no Census business figure. Phone and email columns will appear once we have measured counts.

Industry figures are official statistics, not records we hold: Florida businesses with paid employees (U.S. Census Bureau, County Business Patterns 2023, establishments, NAICS 2017 codes) plus businesses without paid employees (Nonemployer Statistics 2024, NAICS 2022 codes), summed over the industry's codes; for local government, the 2022 Census of Governments. The two Census series cover different years. Other U.S. states and the European Union

We hold no dataset for other U.S. states, such as Texas, California, New York or Georgia, or for countries of the European Union. Data for these markets is compiled on request, so there are no counts of our own, coverage figures or prices to publish here; official market size figures are on the pages for Texas, California, New York, Georgia and the European Union. For a specific request, we confirm the sources, the scope and the as-of date before you order: send a request.

How to read the figures

  • An entity is not the same as a company. The state's register counts corporations, LLCs, partnerships and trusts whether or not they have employees or operations.
  • What matters is the field you need. A total is neither the number of records with a phone number nor the number of active businesses with an email address.
  • A contact field is not a guarantee of delivery. The figures do not reflect any email deliverability check or any check that a phone number is in service.
  • Official statistics are not a dataset. Figures from statistical offices and registers describe a market, not the scope of our exports.
  • The page date is not the as-of date. A revision of this page does not move the as-of date of the data.

Questions about the data status

Can I order Florida business data today?

Yes. Our Florida database contains 3,818,676 active entities as of October 15, 2026. Send a request with the industry and counties you need; we confirm the scope and the price before you order.

Why do you not publish per-industry counts from your own database?

Industry classification is assigned only for a minority of records so far; the rest are being classified. The industry table shows official Census figures for the size of each market. Per-industry own counts will appear in the table once they exist for all industries.

Are the email addresses verified for deliverability?

No. We publish the email addresses as collected from the companies' own websites. The presence of an email address does not guarantee that it is in service or that a message will be delivered. We exclude addresses shared by three or more entities (typically registered-agent or formation-service addresses), which reduces false positives but is not a deliverability check.

Can you deliver data for other U.S. states or for EU countries?

Only on request. We hold no dataset for other states or for countries of the European Union, so we publish no counts of our own for them; official market size figures are on the pages for Texas, California, New York, Georgia and the European Union. Tell us the market, the industry and the fields you need; we check the public sources and confirm the scope, the as-of date and the price before you order. Send a request.
