This document has not yet been reviewed by an attorney and is not in effect. Passages marked [[ TO COMPLETE: … ]] are to be completed by the operator or by counsel.
The Florida Business Database is compiled from public records (see the Data Notice). You can send a removal request; we will put your details on a suppression list so that they are not included in the database or in future updates.
Because the operator is established in the European Union, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies. Any individual may object to the processing of their data (Article 21 GDPR) and ask for erasure (Article 17 GDPR), wherever they live. That includes you if you are:
Where the processing serves direct marketing, you do not have to give a reason. With the same form you can also ask what we hold about you (Article 15 GDPR) or ask us to correct it (Article 16 GDPR); say so in the message.
Requests that concern only a company and no individual (for example a corporation's general phone number) are not covered by GDPR. [[ TO COMPLETE: decide and state the policy for company-only requests, e.g. "we honor them as well" ]]
Two things this request cannot do. First, it does not change the public record: filings with the Florida Division of Corporations and state license records stay public under Florida law, and only the agency that keeps a record can change it. Second, our customers are responsible for their own outreach. A request to us covers our database; to stop a particular business from contacting you, tell that business as well. If you know that it obtained your details from us, name it in the message.
So that we find the right record and do not change another person's details by mistake, we need:
We do not ask for a copy of an identity document. If we have reasonable doubts about your identity, we may ask for additional information (Article 12(6) GDPR).
Fields marked with an asterisk are required. We use what you enter only to handle your request, to be able to show that we handled it, and to suppress the details concerned (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR in conjunction with Articles 12, 17 and 21 GDPR). No consent is needed for this. Details in the Privacy Policy, Section 5.
Handling your request is free of charge (Article 12(5) GDPR). If you disagree with how we handled it, you may complain to a supervisory authority; the authority competent for the operator is the Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů (Office for Personal Data Protection), Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Praha 7, Czech Republic (uoou.gov.cz). See also the Privacy Policy, Section 11.
